Bajaj Chetak is an electric two-wheeler scooter produced by the Bajaj Auto company.
As per an official circular, The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter’s claimed Indian Driving Conditions (IDC) range is set to increase to 108km, up from 90km on the current scooter.
The current IDC range of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is 90km in Eco mode but now the updated scooter will provide a claimed IDC range of 108km.
There are 20 percent increase in the range of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter.
Details also shows that the total battery capacity and power output remains the same as the current Chetak, indicating that the increase in range can be credited to a new Battery Management System (BMS).
The updated Chetak is expected to be launched in March.
The current price of Bajaj Chetak is Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, excluding all subsidies).
There is no clarity about the price of the updated range of Bajaj Chetak at this moment.
Bajaj Chetak is offered in only one variant – Premium. The colour availability are-Velluto Russo (Red), Indigo Metallic, Hazelnut, Brooklyn Black.
It is powered by Lithium-Ion battery. The battery capacity are 50.4 V/60.4 Ah and battery warranty are 3 Years, 50000 km. The Bajaj Chetak takes 5 Hours to get fully charged.
It is also powered by 4080-watt BLDC Motor.
It has fast charging points, USB ports, digital speedometer and odometer, combine braking system, Bluetooth mobile connectivity, LED tail lights, clock, carrying hook, 18L underseat storage and low battery indicator.
The current range of Bajaj Chetak is 90km, but the updated Chetak will offer a range of 108km.
