In the city of New Delhi, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has signed a definitive agreement to operate 1500 electric buses with Tata Motors’ subsidiary, TML CV Mobility Solutions Ltd.
As for the city of New Delhi, Tata Motors has been assigned to supply, operate, and maintain 1500 units of 12-meter low-floor air-conditioned electric buses. The agreement that they have signed for 1500 electric buses is for 12 years.
The Tata Motors subsidiary going to supply Tata Starbus EV to the Delhi Transport Corporation. The Tata Starbus EV is a domestically produced vehicle that offers a sustainable and comfortable commute. By signing an agreement for the bulk supply of 1500 electric buses in Delhi, Tata Motors contributed to the advancement of electric mobility in the capital city.
Tata Motors and DTC have taken new steps to develop a clean, unpolluted, airy, and green capital city. The introduction of zero-emission, noise-free buses will greatly contribute to improving air quality in cities.
