Pravaig Dynamics recently showcased The Pravaig Veer at the Auto Expo 2023, an electric vehicle made with the armed forces in mind. Pravaig Veer has features that no other EV available on the road can compete with. This article provides an in-depth discussion of the Pravaig Veer.
Pravaig Dynamics claims that the Veer can go more than 500 km on a single charge which is impressive considering the range of current EVs in the market. The Pravaig Veer is powered by a 90.0 kWh battery which takes only 30 minutes to go from 0 to 80 percent, which is astonishingly quick. With dual 150 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors each wheel of the Veer gets 402 BHP delivered to it. With all this power the Pravaig Veer can reach a top speed of 210 km/hr. It is also reasonably quick for its body size and can go from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds.
Needless to say, Pravaig Dynamics has taken a bold approach while designing this vehicle. The removal of doors might come as a shocking decision to most people but it should be kept in mind that the Pravaig Veer was designed to be used by the armed forces which justify the removal of the doors. The Veer features a Thermal imaging camera and a weapon or equipment mounted on the roof of this car. Other external features include Airlift hooks, a 4-tonne winch, shielded thermals, and a 2-tonne tow hitch.
Safety features of this car include Front airbags (6 in total), an Anti-theft alarm and immobilizer system, ABS and Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
The Pravaig VEER is powered by a MultiVAC computer which the company claims would’ve been faster than a supercomputer in 2002. Primary functions of this computer include hardware monitoring and running driver assistance applications from Pravaig Dynamics. 8 cameras have been mounted on this EV which provide a 360-degree overhead view of the VEER so that the driver can navigate into tight spots. A Radar system is also added so that the driver can easily navigate the car in difficult climate conditions like fog, mist, and heavy rainfall. The addition of 12 ultrasonic sensors in the Veer gives it the ability to detect any nearby objects.
Pravaig has begun reservations for DEFY and customers can expect deliveries in the foreseeable future. However, for the VEER there is no mention of any launch date by the officials.
Pravaig Dynamics have made some bold promises and it will be interesting to see how well they keep them. Overall, this car offers excellent features and after its launch, it will be fascinating to see how Pravaig makes a deal with the armed forces to deploy this EV in the field. The level of customization available for this car is also worth noting as the company claims that the Pravaig VEER has a fully customizable interior and some external features can also be customized.
