The vehicle displayed warnings of an imminent stop and a faulty drive system, rendering it unable to shift between drive and reverse. Despite attempts by technicians at the delivery center to diagnose the issue, the problem persists. The car is now slated for return to the factory for further analysis. Requests for a replacement vehicle have been met with Xiaomi’s response that all assembled models are allocated, leaving the customer stranded without a solution.

With the owner’s request for a replacement vehicle unfulfilled, Xiaomi has committed to arranging a full refund and compensating for any associated expenses. Technical Glitches 

Xiaomi has acknowledged an issue with the SU7’s Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, which remains inactive beyond 135 kmph until an over-the-air update is deployed. According to a Reuters report those who ordered an SU7 Pro had to wait 18 to 21 weeks (around four to five months) to get their vehicles. Worse still, those who ordered the top-of-the-range SU7 Max had to wait as long as 30 weeks, or seven and a half months, to receive their vehicle.
