Okaya EV, a Delhi-based electric vehicle brand, has recently declared a substantial reduction in the prices of its electric scooter models. This move aims to enhance the affordability of electric scooters, with discounts of up to INR 18,000 available until February 29, 2024. With these adjustments, the starting price for Okaya’s electric scooter models is now at INR 74,899, allowing customers to benefit from a range of 75 kilometers per charge.
Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Anshul Gupta, Managing Director of Okaya EV, said:
“We have significantly lowered the prices across the entire range to strengthen affordability. This strategic move aims to alleviate any concerns customers may have regarding EV pricing, ultimately accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India. We are confident that this initiative will propel EV adoption forward and enable us to achieve significant milestones in the near future.”

The electric scooters by Okaya EV are equipped with Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which are considered the safest technology for Indian weather conditions. LFP batteries have a longer lifespan compared to NMC batteries, ensuring safety, optimal performance in high temperatures, and improved discharge and charge efficiency. Okaya Electric Scooters feature the BLDC Hub motor and boast ICAT certification under AIS 156 Amendment III Phase 2, ensuring enhanced safety. The scooters are designed to be robust and equipped with IP67 waterproof and dust-resistant features.
