Attention SUV and electric vehicle enthusiasts! Mercedes-Benz has just expanded the appeal of its EQB electric SUV with the introduction of a new 5-seater variant. This addition caters to drivers seeking a luxurious electric SUV with a more compact passenger configuration.
Previously available only in a 7-seater layout, the EQB now offers greater flexibility for those prioritizing cargo space or a less crowded cabin.
Price and Performance Remain Competitive:
The good news? Pricing for the 5-seater EQB remains consistent with the existing 7-seater model. The starting price falls within the range of ₹70.90 lakh to ₹77.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This keeps the EQB competitive within the premium electric SUV segment.
In terms of performance, both the 5-seater and 7-seater variants share the same powertrain options. You can choose between:
EQB 250+: This rear-wheel-drive (2WD) variant boasts a 70.5 kWh battery pack and a single electric motor delivering 190 PS of power and 385 Nm of torque. It offers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 535 km, making it ideal for longer journeys.
EQB 350 4MATIC AMG Line: This all-wheel-drive (AWD) option features a 66.5 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup generating 292 PS and 520 Nm. While offering a slightly lower WLTP range of up to 447 km, it prioritizes power and handling.
A Choice for Every Driver:
The introduction of the 5-seater EQB broadens the appeal of this electric SUV. Whether you prioritize passenger space, cargo capacity, or a specific range, Mercedes-benz now offers an EQB configuration to suit your needs.
Stay tuned for further updates on the official launch date and potential test drive opportunities!
