This can be accompanied by an upgraded version of Vida scooters in the near future, company may also introduce a new scooter different from the Vida. We believe it would be affordable given Vida serves the premium market.
The question is how Hero Motorcorp can bring these premium bikes. The answer lies in partnership, the company has collaboration with California-based Zero Motorcycles has led to a significant breakthrough in the electric vehicle (EV) space.
The equity investment of up to USD 60 million in Zero Motorcycles strengthens the partnership, allowing both companies to co-develop premium electric motorcycles. This collaboration aims to leverage Zero’s technology with Hero’s manufacturing prowess.
Zero Motorcycle will have an added advantage as Hero plans to introduce Zero Motorcycles’ portfolio into the Indian market. With manufacturing set to take place in India, the pricing is expected to be highly competitive. Zero’s range, comprising street and dual sports categories, will offer Indian consumers a diverse and competitive array of electric motorcycles.
