The new eVan called E-Vali is BYD’s entry into the electric 3.5 and 4.25-tonne commercial vehicle segment. BYD presented this van at the IAA Transportation trade fair in Hannover, tailored to the European market.
Two variants will have a battery pack with a capacity of 80.6 kWh, enabling a WLTP range of 220 to 250 km.
According to BYD, this is a proprietary blade battery with LFP chemistry.
For AC charging, the electric transporter van has an 11 kW onboard charger, with 22 kW also available.
For DC charging it offers a charging capacity of 188 kW, with BYD specifying a time of 30 minutes for charging from 10% to 80%.
BYD also mentions a payload of 700 to 1,450 kilograms and a top speed of 120 kph as further technical data. The BYD delivery van also offers a V2L connection with 3 kW for charging external devices.
Designed specifically for the European market and designed to meet the needs of last-mile and parcel delivery services, the BYD E-VALI (3.5t or 4.25t) aims to deliver world-leading innovation in EV technologies to the LCV sector.
The BYD E-VALI has a range of 220-250 km (WLTP) and can be charged from 10-80% in around 30 minutes.
