BGauss, an Indian electric two-wheeler market, has rolled out its latest RUV 350 electric scooter model. This new offering is priced between ₹1.10 lakh and ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). Known as the ‘Rider Utility Vehicle,’ the RUV 350 blends the characteristics of an electric scooter and a motorcycle. To entice early buyers, BGauss provides an introductory package worth ₹20,000, which includes an extended warranty, insurance, and connectivity features.

Showcasing a distinct cross-body style, the RUV 350 resembles the D15 Pro but features entirely new structure. It has a step-thru design with larger wheels and a flat floorboard akin to traditional e-scooters. The chassis has been rigorously tested over one lakh km, ensuring durability. Key design elements include 16-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres from TVS Eurogrip, promising improved stability and handling.

The RUV 350 comes with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, with the suspension system offering 1.25 times more absorption than conventional electric scooters, ensuring a smoother ride. Braking is managed by drum brakes at both the front and rear, providing reliable stopping power.
The scooter offers ample storage options such as an open glovebox, multiple hooks, and under-seat storage capable of fitting a half-face helmet. Additionally, there is extra storage below the floorboard designed specifically for the charger.
The RUV 350 is well-equipped with features. The base variant includes a standard LCD display, while the top-end Max trim boasts a 5-inch TFT screen. Although not touch-based, the TFT unit can be controlled via switchgear to access various information. Bluetooth connectivity is available, offering turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts, riding statistics, and more. Other features for the middle and top variant include cruise control, fall safe, reverse mode, hill hold, and regenerative braking.
