The Ayodhya Development Authority and Tata Power had previously joined forces to establish electric vehicle charging stations in the city. Ayodhya Ram Mandir pilgrims to be transported by EVs.

To promote zero-emission transportation, the Ayodha Development Authority has introduced 15 Tata Tigor electric Cars and electric golf carts.

As India prepares for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the city’s urban developer is promoting electric mobility while ferrying pilgrims. In cooperation with the Uttar Pradesh government, the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has arranged for electric cars and electric golf carts to ensure pollution-free transportation during the event. Additionally, the city is in the process of upgrading its EV infrastructure with the help of Tata Power, which will establish EV charging stations at various locations across the city in the coming months.

As part of its action plan to curb the influx of pilgrims and tourists, the ADA has inducted 15 electric cars.

All 15 of these vehicles are Tigor EVs manufactured by Tata Motors.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir pilgrims to be transported by EVs, The ADA has indicated that it prefers the Tata Tigor EV as these vehicles are manufactured under the Make in India initiative.

Currently, the Tata Tigor EV is the only electric sedan available in the subcompact segment. A single charge provides a driving range of 315 kilometers according to the ARAI.

It has a capacity of 26 kWh and is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. There is 170 Nm of peak torque produced by the electric motor in the Tigor EV, which produces 74 horsepower.

Furthermore, a Chinese manufacturer has offered electric golf carts in Ayodhya, which were part of the Deepotsavu program last year. It is possible to transport up to six passengers in these golf carts at one time. Hanumangarhi and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex are connected by this bridge primarily for the use of elderly pilgrims.

It was also announced by the Uttar Pradesh government that pilgrims and tourists will also benefit from the electric vehicle transportation service between Lucknow and Yodhya. As of now, this service is being operated through a private partnership between ADA and a third party.

As a result, the government released a press release announcing that the process of deploying a fleet of 200 e-vehicles has begun, giving priority to zero carbon emission transportation.

My EV Plus cab service charges 3,000 per one-way fare between these two cities. The minimum fare is 250 for up to 10 km.

Tata Power has recently agreed with the Ayodhya Development Authority to enhance electric mobility in the holy city of Ayodhya. In the framework of this agreement, Tata Power will set up EV charging points at various places in the city. Some of the places where Tata Power will be setting up EV charging points in Ayodhya are: Survya Kund Guitar Ghat Amaniganj MLCP In front of Jalkal Department Kaushesh Kunji MLCP near Ayodhya railway station Tedhi Bazar MLCP on the east and west side of Ayodhya Collectorate Office MLCP in Ayodhya.
